Is privacy private?

The topic I chose to discuss about is about the propaganda revolving the 2016 election and how companies like Facebook and Cambridge Analytica handled the data of its users. Have you ever wondered why the ads in your current web page appear to be from your recent searches? Is it coincidental? Or is your data being sold and marketed? To what extent is your privacy actually private? These are the questions that I will be discussing for my project.

  1. Hi, Kevin. After reading your topic purpose, I'm curious about it becasue I've noticed that not only the ads in the web pages but also in my email box and phone calls. I've been usually receiving some other companies'propagandas even though I didn't register on their webs. There must be some leaks of my privacy by those websites I used to use.I expect to learn more about your topici in this semester.
