A blog site is an outlet for news which is more personal allowing the writer to choose their own content. Wikipedia is another outlet for online content which is maintained in an open community by other users. Wikipedia and blogs are similar in that it is accessible for everybody, allowing everyone to access and edit its content. They share the same disadvantageous which is cyber security and the credibility behind some of its content. However, in an article Wikipedia to Limit Changes to Articles on People by Noam Cohen, there is a growing realization on the part of Wikipedia's leaders that as the site grows more influential, they must transform its embrace-the-chaos culture into something more mature and dependable thanks their new flagging feature (Cohen). Both outlets allow open communication from the writer to the readers and some of its biggest risk are also cyber security which is most concerning with the military. There is no limit how how many blogs, videos, and what kind of information is being posted so pentagon officials are policing the outflow as much as they can to review the content that is being published as stated in an article Pentagon Keeps Wary Watch as Troops Blogs by James Dao.
